Sidney Sime ! ! ! !
SIME was really active in the early 1900's. He churned out reams of fantastic illustration. Eventually, he formed an epic partnership with lord Dunsany, illustrating for him faithfully ever afterward. Artistick High Priest.

Cymatics
Cymatics
Anyone who has been to a loud concert experiences the sensation of feeling music in addition to simply hearing it. At potent volume or frequency range one cant help but feel that sound is literally filling up the room and the body. There is a kind of wind that pushes out of speakers. It carries so much sonic vibration that an inexplicably physical presence with no tangible form actually pushes, shakes and massages the body. Sound shakes a body all the way down to it's atoms. For sound to exist at all it is necessary for particles to move around and hit each other. So sound waves only manipulate physical objects inasmuch as they are extensions of a physical environment. I love to wonder if powerful amplifiers are in some similar way "shaping" the basic content of a human body or brain.
